Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to be released as the successor to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which was unveiled in China in February. Key details about the upcoming handset have leaked online in recent weeks. The phone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and run Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 out of the box, similar to the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro handsets released in October. Several expected features of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, including camera specifications, have been leaked previously. The same information, as well as the phone’s possible launch date, has leaked again.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station’s Weibo post (translated from Chinese), the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be available in China in February 2025. He also stated that the launch will take place “really at the end of the month,” implying that it could occur on February 28, 2025.​​

In a separate post, Smart Pikachu backed up this claim, stating that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would feature an upgraded macro sensor, large aperture across the focal range, and a low-light telephoto camera.

In a separate post, tipster Digital Chat Station stated that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would most likely feature a 1-inch 50-megapixel main rear sensor, a secondary 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and another 50-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capability. The handset’s quad rear camera unit is expected to include a 200-megapixel telephoto shooter capable of up to 4.3x optical zoom.

Previous leaks have suggested that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, IP69 dust and water resistance, and wireless charging support. The handset will most likely feature a 2K quad-curved display and run HyperOS 2.0, which is based on Android 15.
