Huawei has officially announced the release of a new mid-range smartphone on January 3. This is the Enjoy 70X, and as the official teaser image below shows, it is inspired by the Mate line, with a circular ring-like camera bump.
Meanwhile, a hands-on with the upcoming device has surfaced in China, showing us the device in real life and revealing a few of its specifications.
The Enjoy 70X, model BRE-AL80, is powered by the Kirin 8000A SoC, which appears to have a hexa-core CPU with three Cortex-A77 cores clocked at up to 2.19 GHz and three Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 1.4 GHz. The GPU is the Mali-G610, which runs at up to 864 MHz.
The phone runs HarmonyOS 4.2 and will be available in at least white and cyan colors. It has a 6.78-inch 1224×2700 OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, and 2,160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
On the back, there is a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor, and the handset is expected to have a 6,100 mAh battery with 40W fast wired charging. It will allegedly be 7.98 mm thick and weigh 189g.
