new update adds Visual Intelligence AI Capabilities to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max

Apple announced the iPhone 16e yesterday, and the cheapest device in the company’s current lineup lacks the Camera Control button, which was introduced with the rest of the iPhone 16 family. On the others, the Camera Control is the only way to access Apple’s Visual Intelligence AI features, but the iPhone 16e will also get these, despite the lack of the Camera Control.
As will the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. According to a new report, Apple has confirmed that Visual Intelligence will be available in a future update for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, possibly with iOS 18.4, which is expected to be released in early April. Users of these three Camera Control-less devices will be able to assign the Action Button to Visual Intelligence. Visual Intelligence will also be available in the Control Center for those who wish to use the Action Button for other purposes.
This will greatly benefit the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. They are the oldest iPhones to support Apple Intelligence, but they lack Visual Intelligence features due to the absence of the Camera Control button.
