Bose has finally launched the second generation of the QuietComfort Ultra

QuietComfort Ultra

Bose has officially revealed the second generation of its QuietComfort Ultra wireless headphones, most recent addition to its acclaimed noise-canceling lineup. While preserving the series’ famous sound quality and industry-leading ANC, the new version includes audio over USB-C, which was noticeably absent in the previous edition. They also maintain the 2.5 mm headphone connector and include a 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable in the box.

The new QC Ultra (2nd Gen) is similar to its predecessors. Under the hood, however, Bose has made numerous significant improvements. The proprietary CustomTune technology is now even more effective, automatically tailoring audio performance and noise suppression to each ear’s unique shape.

According to Bose, you may expect excellent noise suppression that effectively eliminates distractions in any scenario. The Aware Mode has been upgraded, and the ambient audio now sounds more realistic. Bose is also introducing a new Cinema Mode with a larger soundstage and clearer speech reproduction.

QC Ultra (2nd Gen) is compatible with Bluetooth 5.4, as well as the SBC, AAC, and Qualcomm AptX Adaptive audio codecs. The battery life has been slightly improved, now allowing up to 30 hours of listening time on a single charge with ANC enabled and 45 hours without ANC. Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Generation) comes in four colors: black, midnight violet, driftwood sand, and white. The price is set at $450/£450, with delivery anticipated for early October.
