Xiaomi 16 and 16 pro is scheduled to be released later this year. While previous incarnations had three models in the portfolio, the brand is expected to mix things up with the addition of a fourth model in the upcoming generation. According to social media tipsters, a smaller version of the rumored Xiaomi 16 Pro is also in the works, and it might come with a 6.3-inch display, a periscope telephoto camera, and a 6,300mAh battery.

According to Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro will mark one of Xiaomi’s most significant generational advances in camera hardware. On the one hand, the leaker claims that Xiaomi is finally moving away from the 32 MP and f/2.0 front-facing camera that has been utilized since the Xiaomi 13 generation. This sensor is expected to be replaced with a new 50 MP sensor with a larger field of vision and focusing, while still supporting 4K/60 FPS video capture.
